Teeth and Ice Cream
I had quite the interesting experience tonight. It was so funny. I am very tired today...just keep that statement in mind as you read this. The last night/this morning, I went to bed at 12:45 AM. I had to wake up for my dentist appointment at 6:00 but didn't til 6:45. Left at 720 got to my appointment on time and got some not so pleasant news. Some of my teeth are dead.
Story time. About 6 of 7 years ago, my dad, brother, mom and me went out to play baseball. Just messing around. I was getting a little crazy and this one time, my dad hit the baseball with the bat, towards me, and the ball come at my face and I go up to catch it with my glove. Did I catch it??? No. The ball flew and hit me in the mouth with full force and it knocked my bottom front teeth backwards. Don't worry. It didn't hurt a bit. The only reason why I cried was because my teeth, after being straightened, were crooked again. That is THE reason I cried. Then the orthodontist was so nice and came in to his office, off hours, and he fixed my teeth. He just put braces on the teeth and that was that. Two months later, my teeth were again straight.
So, back to the present time. My teeth were dead. The front teeth that is. Right where the ball hit me. It was strange because they put this really cold stuff on my teeth and the teeth that were "alive" felt the cold so much that it kind of hurt yet, the teeth that were dead, I didn't feel anything. It was almost like they were paralyzed. So, they took x-rays of my teeth a third time because they didn't think so many teeth were dead but they looked normal on the x-rays. They just told me to keep my eye on them when I go to the dentist in the future. But, I had to have a root canal on one of the teeth that was infected from the trauma. To be honest, they are not so bad at all. The only thing bad about them is the price. 700 dollars for just one of them. If it were one of my back teeth, I would have had to have a crown put on also which would have been even more. It was crazy a lot of money.
Then shortly after, I went to work for 8 and a half hours. It went by pretty fast I thought but I was so tired afterwards. Tessa and I had plans to wash my car, go to dairy queen for a milkshake, and paint finger nails. Guess which one didn't get done...again? The car. We just really didn't feel like it. We ended up going to Cold Stone to use Norma's gift certificate she got us for Christmas. That sure was the experience of a life time.
Mom sent me with some money of her own and asked me to get her a Chocolate Devotion Iceream with no chocolate chips, chocolate cake batter mix instead of pure chocolate, and extra brownie. Tessa, Jaden, Tori, and I go to CS. I am the first one to order and boy did I get it wrong. I really wanted a mud pie mojo. I thought it sounded good. All the ingredients were good except for the almonds. So I asked for that without almonds. I am watching the guy scoop up the ice cream and Tori asks me, you wanted coffee icecream??? It took me a second to realize what she meant and then it dawned on me. He scooped up icecream that was labeled coffee. Then I look at the ingredients for the mixture and sure enough, it said coffee icecream with other things in it. I couldn't believe it. I really thought it said chocolate icecream. So, I asked the guy if I could switch it to something else. I felt so stupid. I don't even know what I got. Something with oreos in it.
Then it came down to Jaden's and Moms. Jaden wanted the Chocolate devotion with no chocolate chips, and extra fudge. Did I ask for that? NO. I said, Chocolate devotion with Extra fudge. oh well. Then on mom's, I said Chocolate devotion with chocolate cake batter, no chocolate chips, and extra fudge instead of extra brownie. Almost good but it still was bad. I asked for a love it size when I was supposed to get a gotta have it size. When the guy was finished scooping up the ice cream and was starting his way back to the counter, I suddenly changed my mind on him and asked for the gotta have it size. So, he went back and got more ice cream.
Oi Oi oi. Could things have gone any worse in there? My goodness. That is the story about the ice cream trip I don't want to happen again.
