I lead a very adventurous life in more ways than just being outdoors. I love being outdoors though because of the beautiful weather that Utah has in the spring and summer. I again state from two years ago that Utah has the funniest weather. It is hot one day but cold the next. Right now it is a beautiful day and the birds are out singing lots of songs, people are walking around, and a fair is going on. I am excited for the chances that I have had to do some hiking in the gorgeous weather. One of the hikes was to the Y in Provo. When we first started I thought I was not going to be able to make it because it was very steep at first. After we got through the first part it was not quite so steep but turns were getting longer and longer. One time my cousin and I decided to run up a stretch and I won't do that again until I get more into shape. I about died. Then I went slow and steady up the mountain to the Y. It was worth it to go up there because the view was wonderful. You could see alot of Utah County and boy is it big. There are tons of houses and stores everywhere. After being at the Y for a while we decided to back down. While we were going up though, we saw people that were running down and we thought they were crazy. It turned out that we were the crazy people as well. It is so much easier to run down the mountain than to control your every movement going down. I almost fell a few times but never did all the way. By the end our legs were very jello like.
I did find a job. I like my job alot. I go to work in a town called Springville. It is about 25 min driving time (with all the traffic lights) to get to work. I am not crazy about the commute but the store in general makes up for it. I love the people I work with. Oh, I am a cashier at the grocery store called Reams. :)
One of the biggest adventures I have been on is one I never want to go on again. I had to go to court. I don't want to get into the details really of why I had to. Basically I thought someone scammed me into something and I went to the police station and filed a report. The detective that was assigned to my case didn't believe me and I was sentenced a misdemeanor by him. I did a TON of praying that everything would turn out okay because I knew that I was not intentionally trying to do any harm. It was not until the week before that a miracle happened. I am so grateful for my dad doing his best to help me out. I am grateful for my mom as well helping me get through the court day. Just so you know, going to court can be a scary thing. You wait to have your name called and then you go up and state if you are guilty, not guilty, or no contest before the judge. Then the judge gives you your sentence. Luckily I was able to have a plea. I was able to state no contest and the judge told me that I have six months to prove that I am a good person. So basically I can't go to court for anything criminal like again. If I can 'stay good' for six months then I am so happy to say that I will not be a criminal anymore. :) It has been fun in my family to joke around that there is a criminal in the family but it will soon turn to be ex-criminal.
I am excited for the next couple months to come around. Some of my favorite people are coming home from their mission and that is exciting that I can 'play' with them again. I am going to be starting school in August and I can't wait to start. It was been a long time since I have been to school. I am most excited to buy school supplies. I don't know why that makes me so excited but it does. I have decided that I will be going into Social Work. It will be fun.
That is pretty much it in my adventurous life. Oh wait. My brother is going on a mission! He is going to the Romania Moldova Mission speaking Romanian. I am excited for him.
