Arizona Trip

This trip was so much fun. I have not seen my family for a few months and I was looking forward to the trip. We did so much the first two days because Tessa had a baby shower. It was really fun to do the baby shower.

I did Tessa's hair in this braid that I found on Pinterest. I am happy that I was actually able to do it. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

Tori had a recital and holy smokes! It was so so so good. She is awesome at playing the Cello. If you want to hear her song you can go onto YouTube and type in Tori Ralph and it will come up.

These are picture of us getting ready for the shower. Tori and I worked on the gift bags.

Tessa and Mom worked on the SUPER CUTE cake pops. They were so good too.

My dad actually helped blow up the balloons.

There was so much food. Rolls, lunch meat, chips, fruit, salad, and a pasta. It was all so so good.

I was so looking forward to going skiing. We borrowed a boat (because ours was broken) and went to Canyon lake and we got the boat into the water. My dad went skiing first but only skiied for 10 seconds. When the boat started, it started doing this high pitched sound and we could smell some burning. It was not good. The boat was over heating. It ended up being a problem with water not being pulled into the engine. So luck was that we didn't ski. I was so super bummed. We did swim in the water for a little bit. It was not all that cold either. I enjoyed it still. Maybe I can go next time I visit if it is during the summer.

Tessa and I were trying something out that we used to do on the long trips to Utah. It was actually comfortable. She laid on my lap and I lay on her back. I am not sure how safe that is but oh well. Tori joined in the comfort. :)

After the lake we got showered up and went to lunch. My family has always liked going to Miamigos. There is a typical things we get so us sisters got a bean and cheese burrito with red sauce. It was good. The salsa (a main reason we go) was way way salty this time. It was not good.

Tonight is my last night in Arizona and I am sad but I am looking forward to being with my husband again. Its been a while since I have seen him. :)

Hikes

Cody and I and his mom went to a spring and hiked up to this rock slide. There were a ton of rocks everywhere. I was in sandals so it made it intersting to climb the rocks. I am so happy it is the weather to wear sandals again!

Then we went on a hike to the Bridal Vale Falls. We couldn't figure out how to get all the way up so we just had a nice walk to the bottom of the falls. There was this old coal mine trail. It was interesting.

Temple Flowers

I love the outside of the Logan temple especially in person. Spring time is when all the tulips come out so I took the opportunity to take some pictures.

Fun Times

Cody and I have done some random things because life in Logan during the winter can be pretty boring.

One night we made scones and built a blanket fort. It was super fun to build the test and to watch a movie under there.

I did a couple puzzels during spring break. It was not the same without my partner in crime (my mom) but it was still fun to do. My mom loves to do plain blue sky and notice that there is no plain blue sky because I HATE doing it.

I had my last concert. It has been so much fun to get back into playing the flute. I miss playing so much.

One day it was finally super nice outside and we went on a picnic. It was such a lovely day.

We also have played a few games of Bowling. I love it but not very good. Hence the score below. I was the Dominator and Cody was the Pinnator although I was not the dominator at all.

The Holidays

It was fun being able to have the firsts with my husband. Our first Christmas together, our first new years together, our first birthdays together, our first Easter together. There have been lots of firsts and it is fun to see what kind of traditions he has done with his family in the past and what new ones we will start with our own family one day.

Christmas was fun because we had no work obligations at that time because we had moved to Logan and had not found a job yet. So, we went to Heber to have Christmas with his parents and two of his brothers. I don't have pictures of the time down there but it was fun to open presents with a new family. :)

Down below is mine and Cody's first tree. It was a tiny fellow but it was still fun to decorate the tree.

Something we did with my in-laws was going to the Salt Lake Temple and see all the pretty lights. I have not gone since I was real little so I was really excited. Plus it is a tradition my family did at the Mesa Temple every Christmas eve. I am hoping that will be tradition for me and Cody for many years to come. Although I would probably like to go on a day that is not Christmas Eve so I can by pass all the people. It was hard to keep together in a group because of all the people at the temple. I just held on to Cody's hand and didn't let go so I couldn't get lost from him.

For New Years, we broke out the Nintendo that Cody had. Its a tradition for his family to only play video games on holidays and I like that idea. So we broke out Super Mario World and played that one a lot. I am not good at that game. I kept dying!

We had a TON of peppermints left over from the reception and I was trying to figure out what to do with them. Then I thought of chocolate covered pretzels with crushed peppermints added into the chocolate. It was a good idea until we were not fast enough with putting the chocolate on the pretzels. The chocolate started to get really hard. I didn't know the longer you melt chocolate the harder it gets. Maybe it was just the peppermints that was in the chocolate. I don't know. It was good anyways.

After the New Years, Cody and I celebrated our birthdays. I turned 24 on Feb. 11th and then he turned 24 on March 1st. Its cool we are the same age. I made him a chocolate cheesecake and it sure was yummy. Super rich but very yummy. He wanted an electric screw driver gun thing (I can't remember what it is called right now) so I got him that.
For my birthday we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and I opened my presents when I got home from school. Cody got me two Kari Jobe Cd's ( I love her songs) and a couple undershirts that I desperately needed. My mom got me a new dress that I love and Tessa also got me a Kari Jobe CD. It was a very fun birthday.

For Valentines day I had Cody go on a scavenger hunt around the house. While he has gone doing something, I quickly put packets of fun dip candy in different spots with reasons why I love him on there. It was really fun to do. Cody bought me some really nice flowers. It made my day. I love getting flowers on occasion.

Then finally it was Easter. The last of the holidays up to now. It was really fun decorating eggs. I love decorating eggs. I probably always will. I am not sure Cody was a fan of it but I sure was. We tried these marble eggs but they didn't turn out all that well. It was fun to try though.

I was fun doing a dinner. It was the first time I did a roast by myself in the Crock Pot. It turned out pretty darn good too. We had Corn, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, Jones Soda, and Roast. It was quite the meal.

The holidays were really fun and I am excited to always be with Cody to celebrate them.
