New Place, New Times, and Even More Fun.

We moved out of my in laws place after living there for about two months. It was nice of them to let us live with them for that long while we figured out where we were going next in life. Eventually we found a new place in Provo and are loving our new place. Before we left we did a few things. I did a puzzle that I knew was going to be pretty hard. It took me a week to finish this puzzle up. It is really cool. I wanted to quit on it a few times. I am so happy that I finished it.

I ended up getting new glasses. I like the ones that I got. They actually stay up on my nose AND the glass does not pop out of the lens.

Then Cody and I revisited the place he proposed to me. It is a gorgeous place. We re-enacted the proposal. haha.

This is a random clip that I forgot to put in on the last previous from Arizona. I thought it was really funny that Bo likes to eat ice.

Cody's brother has season tickets to RSL games. It is a soccer team here is Salt Lake. I like playing soccer but I have never been a fan to watch it on tv. I thought it was boring to watch it on TV. Now that I have been to a few games, it is not so boring to watch on TV. I know more of what is going on and know how big the field is. The first game I went to they won and the second game I went to they tied. The second games was kind of ridiculous. The referee was making these crazy calls to the others teams advantage. I was getting very frustrated because the other team was constantly "getting hurt." It seemed like there was a whistle being blown every thirty seconds. Why couldn't they just play? It was kind of ridiculous. Any way. I am glad they at least tied. I would have been upset if they lost to that other team.

A few weeks ago I was feeling crafty. I have wanted magnets and was wondering how to make home made ones. So I found out how to do some for cheap. You can get these glass beads from the dollar store. Then you get paper and mod podge. You mod podge the back of the bead (the part that is flat) and then let that dry a little bit then you put the paper on and smooth it out. Then you mod podge the paper. Super simple. Cut the paper a little smaller than the back of the glass bead. It works better. I think they turned out really cute.

I have been making some new recipes to get a new variety of food to make for dinner. I remember my mom made CafĂ© Rio one day and I have always wanted to try it. So I did. I cooked the meat for eleven hours and it turned out so so so super good. Then I made the tomatillo ranch, rice, and then black beans, lettuce, avocado, and cheese. I was super excited to eat it. I was proud of myself for making it. It was delicious!

Cody and I have come up on a special day in July. July 28th 2012 was the first date we have ever had. July 28th 2013 we have known each other for a whole year. It does not feel like a year. Time has gone so fast. We celebrated this moment by doing what we did last year for our first date. The demolition derby. I was kind of silly and got us to wear the same shirts as last time. :) This year it didn't last as long because less people got hurt. I was glad because even though it was really fun last year it was getting long.

I thought this lady was funny. She was dancing her heart out to a song like she was at a rock concert. I didn't video her dancing when she was going the most crazy but its still funny.

They did fireworks this year. I got some pretty cool shots. My favorite one is the explosion one.

My fried from high school (Jackie) got married this past week. I got to go to her sealing. It was really special to see them get sealed but even more special because she got sealed in the same room I got sealed in. It brought back good memories that day.

One last event that Cody and I went to was a rock concert. My very first rock concert. It was in SLC at a park. The band The National played. I girl name Sarah Van something sang as well. She was my favorite I think. We went with two of Cody's brothers. We all stood and the front of the stage on the right hand side. I felt weird being that close because it was way out of my comfort zone to be at a concert and to be up so close. There were some VERY interesting people there let me tell you.
When Sarah van something was done playing Cody and I escaped from the front and went to the back. I was getting a head ache from the loud base. It was fun being up close though. See the singers close to you.
On the way back was an adventure. Casey's tire (cody's brother) got a flat. Casey didn't have a complete set for the jack. It took us about 2 1/2  hours to get home that night. We ended up having to put the car to the side of the freeway and get a ride home from his other brother Corey.  Casey's tires had to have a special key to even use the wrench for the lugs on the tire. Cody and Casey got it all taken care of the next day but it sure was quite the experience coming home. Didn't get to bed til about 3 that morning. Crazy times.

One last piece of news is that I get to go to Arizona in 12 days to see my baby niece. She is not born yet but Tessa gets induced on the 15th if the baby does not come before that. I am so excited that I get to be there for that. I can't wait to see baby Jocelyn. :)

Reception...past due

These pictures are much past due. It took a while to get the pictures from my sister but eventually I got  them. I loved my reception...both of them. I had one in Utah and one in Arizona. It was really fun coming up with the ideas for it and to decorate and get it ready. There was definitely a lot to do for it. I am glad my family and family in laws were both there are were helping out.

Here are some pictures of the reception :)

Down below is what Cody and I stood in front of. Genius idea from my mom. She is so talented.

Another genius idea from my mom was the cake. The bottom two layers were made of styrophome (sp?). That saved a lot of wasted cake since there was already a very sugary dessert. I was very happy with the way it turned out.

These are two tables filled with sugar! We have pumpkin cake, white chocolate popcorn bags for people to take home on one table. The next table we have...

Hot chocolate, marshmallows, pirouettes, candy canes, caramel, caramel apple suckers, whipped cream, creamer, chocolate mints, peanut butter cups, and that's about it. LOTS OF SUGAR! haha. I was really proud of this idea. My aunt Emily came up with the idea of how to serve everything. You take a vase and spray paint it white and then get a glass bowl to go on top of the vase. You glue them together and you have a cute display. :) Its fun to be creative with it. We got most of our things from the dollar store of thrift stores. Actually everything was from there. Very cheap idea.

Lights were strung up. I loved the idea of it. It made it more of a romantic feeling. I didn't really feel like I was in a church building. You can't tell too well, maybe you can see from other pictures, but there were paper snowflakes hung up everywhere. Let me tell you. Those were a long process. My mother in law and I did a lot of them. It took quite a while to put together. They were very pretty though.

One of my very favorite pictures. I don't remember it being taken. I think Tori sneaked up behind us to take the picture.

Pictures of some family.

I think this picture below is so cute. :)

Cake cutting. I couldn't decided if I was going to be nice or not but I ended up being nice. My husband better appreciate that.

And then we left for a good honeymoon. Our car was decorated with balloons streamers and inside lots of shredded paper. I found shredded paper even 6 months after that day. It was everywhere!
