Marching off  to our new adventure is the coming arrival of our baby in March. :)

I took this picture some time before 13 weeks. Maybe 12 weeks?

Next is 13 weeks and 3 days.

Next is 15 weeks and 4 days.

Not much has really changed except for this next week. I am starting to get a bump finally! I am super excited about it. Other than being nauseated I am starting to feel pregnant. That's a very nice feeling. 16 weeks and 4 days.

This pregnancy is a blessing. I was starting to get discouraged a little bit because it was taking a while. But then it happened! Then I started to get a little anxious when I started nearing the time that I miscarried last time. I just keep hoping and praying that everything would be alright. I get pretty nauseous but I was letting the baby know that they could keep me sick as long as they wanted because then I would know they were still okay. I still complained a little bit about being sick but when days came that I was miraculously not sick I would worry. But the next day I was sick again.

Everything is looking good though. I am 8 weeks past the time I miscarried and I am so happy about that. I don't really have sick days anymore. Except for week 15. I for some reason was pretty sick that week. I just determined that the baby was growing a lot that week. In two and a half weeks we will be able to find out what we are having. I thought it would take forever to get to this date but its coming pretty fast. I am excited to know what we are having. :)

In August my family was able to come up. Jaden just got home from his mission and my parents and my siblings got to take a vacation to Utah to visit everyone. I was really excited that we all got to be together again. All the siblings were together. :)

We did a ton of stuff while they were here. One of those things was celebrating my niece, Jocelyn's, birthday. It is so crazy that time has gone by so fast. I can't imagine being the mother of the child and the surprise of how fast it really does go. Tessa wanted to make these cupcake that look like ice cream cones. They didn't turn out the way that she wanted them too but they tasted good.

We had the birthday at a park and while we were there we did family photos. I have not seen all of them yet but they turned out really well.

The last day that they were here we celebrated a family tradition by going to Lagoon. When we would come to Utah during the summer when we were little, we would usually go to Lagoon. It's still a pretty fun place even after all these years.

Cody and I went on an adventure to a place called Stuart Falls. I have been there a couple times and I still love it. It's such a beautiful hike and pretty easy. There was a couple cool trees but I took a picture of this one because it was the coolest.

We packed a lunch and had lunch there. It got kind of cold with the mist of the water on us and we were in the shade. It felt nice at first though. Oh the way back to the car we had oranges and let me tell you.... It's not that great of an idea to eat oranges while hiking. They are hard to chew and swallow when you are breathing heavier. haha.

Creative and New

Most of my pictures this past little while of things that I have created. Crafts and Food. I like exploring new foods lately and sometimes I am in the mood for something crafty.

I made my first stuffed chicken. I stuffed the chicken with cheese and broccoli. I could not hammer out the chicken very well because I didn't have mallet. I ended up using my rolling pin but that only went so far. I had to  use a TON of toothpicks to hold it all together because the chicken didn't flat enough so it was hard to roll. Oh well. It still tasted good.

This next delicious dish is called... Chicken and white bean enchiladas with creamy salsa verde. It's a very long name for a dish and took a while to make it but boy was it worth it. They are SOOOOO yummy. Can you see the goodness of it?

One night I was home from work and looked out the window to see a stunning sunset. It was very beautiful.

There is a show on netflix called Fat, sick and nearly dead that is a must see. It gave me so much inspiration. A lady came through my line at work and I asked if she was juicing because she had a lot of fruits and veggies. She said she was and mentioned that I should watch this show. She said that she started juicing and it helped her to become pregnant. It's kind of weird to hear that but she had to adopt her first child. Then she did the juicing and was able to become pregnant. I thought it was a really cool thing. So I watched the show and you HAVE to watch it. It's really good. Anyway. I have decided to juice now. My sister found a website called simplegreensmoothies.com and they have all kinds of recipes you can choose from and they are GOOD. I have a picture of one and it kind of looks like a milk shake but its not. It has mostly fruits and either spinach or kale. This one had spinach. You can't even tell that there is spinach it. Cody has lost a couple pounds doing this and he is happy about it. :)

So this is my craft. I have been saving up my toilet paper rolls for a few months. I saw this idea on pinterest and loved it. It's really simple. You cut four petals out of one tube. Then you paint the petals. I bought three boxes at Walmart for 50 cents and cut that up to make the black background. Then when all of that is dry you can glue or use tack to make the flowers. I love it. I am so happy that I did this. Makes my room look more homey instead of blah!

Tonight I made my own spaghetti sauce and garlic bread. The garlic bread was awesome but I didn't really like the spaghetti sauce. If you have suggestions on what homemade spaghetti sauces are good comment on the blog. :) It would be helpful because I just don't like the canned spaghetti sauces at the store.

I hope I didn't make you too hungry with this food blog. :)

My Normal Life.

Not too much to report on about life these past few months. Life is kind of just going along faster than I can imagine. Its already May almost half way through the year already!

After working about 50 hours a week I was finally able to complete my internship at Walgreen's as a pharmacy technician. I am so glad to have that over with. I was so done working for free! I miss working as a tech and can't wait to get a job in that field. One thing I had to prepare for was the national exam so that I could actually get a job. This past month has been spent studying for that.

I took the test yesterday. I was not too scared about it because I knew my math and I knew my drugs! I didn't really go over any of the book stuff as hard as I probably should have but I knew everything else so it didn't scare me. After getting to the test center and showing people my idea a million bajillion times, I was able to sit down and take the test. As I was sitting there reading the first question I was thinking, "Oh my goodness. I don't know this one. Did I even learn it?" I guessed and tried the next one and thought the same thing. That's when I got scared and freaked out a little bit.

I said a prayer and after that I still didn't know a lot of the answers. I believe I got all the math questions correct (which there were probably only 5) and the drug questions were pretty easy. The book stuff was the hardest part for me. But Heavenly Father helped me guess good answers because...

I PASSED!

I was relieved when I looked at the computer screen to see that I had passed. I almost could not believe it. I now just wonder what questions I got right and which ones I got wrong. I will never know but that's okay.

To treat myself for passing, Cody and I went to a really awesome sub place for dinner. It's called Zubs and its so much better than another certain store I am thinking of. Fresh veggies, home made bread, twice the size of the other certain place, and the same price as that other certain place. While eating a Zubs sandwhich we went to my brother in laws house to watch Dancing With the Stars. This episode was kind of dirty dancing. I don't like that too much. Other episode are really good though. I have watched almost every single season of it and still in love with the show.

Today, I also treated myself to a fresh new haircut. I didn't realize how long my hair had gotten until I took a picture of it. I was getting tired of the way it looked. I needed a new style. Something short. I like short hair on me a lot better than long hair that's for sure. So, instead of having my mom cut my hair like I am used to, I trusted the next best person that lived closest to me. I had a friend of mine cut my hair. She does and did an amazing job on my hair. I was very pleased with the way it turned out. Here are the results of the hair cut!!!

I feel so much better now that it is cut.

So now that I have free time for a little bit, I don't really know what to do with myself. There is always cleaning. haha. I have been doing some indexing though. That is addicting! I love doing it and glad I finally started after wanting to do it for so long. It is a very rewarding feeling typing all these records. Hopefully families will be able to go farther into their family history and connect each other through out the ages.

Cody has been busy with working the past few weeks. He has picked up a part time job as a CNA. He likes it okay but is not sure if he is going to keep at it. The major thing he does not like is that it is a shift from 5-9am monday through saturday. That will wear down any person especially when they have another practically full time job right after that like he does. I feel for him. It's nice to have the extra money coming in though. Not going to lie about that one. :)

Anyways. That's my life. Not too interesting. Just normal. :)

Random Trips = FUN

Random Trips = FUN

Cody and I were using a gift certificate we had and went to Iceburg to get some ice cream. As we were sitting eating the deliciousness that was going to our stomachs we were talking. Among that talk we were thinking how much of a bummer it was that we were not able to go to Arizona for Christmas. We had really big hopes to. Cody came up with this brilliant plan to go for my birthday as we were sitting there! I was wondering if it would work out with me having started my internship and work but I was pretty sure I could get the time off for both things.

It ended up working out. We had plans to leave on saturday (feb 8th) but didn't go til Sunday (Feb 9th). I will explain why we didn't go til Sunday later. While in Arizona I didn't have enough time to do everything I wanted to do. Just not enough time. I definitely need to go for a whole entire week next time. My sisters and I decided to do a craft. I have been wanting to do some kind of birthday reminder. I found something on pinterest that looked easy and fun to do.

You just need some kind of board, paint, ribbon, letters, small clothes pins, hot glue, mod podge (or just glue), paper to decorate your letters with, and anything else you want to decorate the board. It was super fun and I like the idea that I can move the clothes pins around so if there is another birthday I want on the board I don't have to have the date mixed up. Like having a February 11 in between a February 15th and 17th.

Mine is the top, Tori's is the middle, and Tessa's is the bottom.

For my birthday Tessa, Cody and I went to the Gilbert Temple open house. I was super excited to go see it. I knew the outside was absolutely beautiful so I wanted to see the inside. After being in line SWEATING for an hour we were able to go inside the temple. I can not believe how beautiful it was! It is the most beautiful one I have ever seen. I can't wait to go again to that temple.

We treated our selves to a surprisingly not busy cafe rio. That place is always so good to eat at.

Tessa, Tori and I made a cake from scratch. I have never attempted to do such a thing. It was surprisingly easy. We also made our own frosting which also turned out well. The cake was really delicious.

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. I like the place but this trip didn't seem as good as other trips. I enjoyed it still. A funny thing happened while we were there. We decided to get Jocelyn to try a lemon. Her face was priceless when she tried it. The poor girl. Unfortunately I think that really bothered her stomach and her reflux problem that she has. It was really funny though.

I got to open my presents when I got home. Tessa got me an air freshner for my house. It may seem like a strange gift but I really wanted it. I didn't really want to spend my money on it so I asked it for my birthday.

Cody got me a purse. I love it. I have been wanting one for a while since the one I have, I have had for quite a while. Since 10th grade I think? It was time for a new one.

My dad and I played a few games on Backgammon. (I won all games). haha. He is convinced that I cheat.

Other fun times in Arizona include holding my niece Jocelyn pretty much the whole time I was there, going to Bahama Bucks, driving my moms very new car, and just enjoying the awesome weather.

The reason that we left on Sunday instead of Saturday was because my grandma Ryan passed away. We are pretty sure she suffered another stroke. One of my grandma's request was if she were to have another stroke was to let it take its coarse. I was sitting in the room with my mom, uncle, and Aunt when my grandma passed. It was such a spiritual experience. I thought it would be weird but it was not that bad. I am glad I was there. There is something that happened a few minutes before she passed that was really spiritual. I don't want to tell the details of that experience but I just wanted to kind of bare my testimony of spirits and our bodies. I know with out a doubt that our bodies have spirits. We are not just here on this earth with a body to die. We have a spirit that lives on. Life does not just end. We have purpose to be here on this earth and we have purpose in the life hereafter. I know my grandma is happy and is enjoying being in the spirit world with other loved ones.

If found this picture on Cody's camera and wanted to post it. He and his brothers like to hunt so this is them hunting. Haha. They don't just sit there. Don't worry. Chad got the biggest deer. A four point. Cody's dear is a little smaller but it is nice to have the meat from it...even though I have not cooked it yet and it has been 5 months already.

Cody and I have added a new family member to our family. A piano! A real one and not my grandma's electric piano. This is still my grandmas piano though. Also my aunt Michelle's piano. Michelle was wanting to get rid of it. I told her I would totally take it. I have been wanting a non electric piano. So she just gave it to me. It is an awesome present. The best thing about this piano is that I didn't have to move it. While my dad was here for the funeral, my uncle's and him moved it. I went to my intern and when I got back I had a piano! I have taken some time to freshen it up. It was a little dirty and I got some dark wood polisher and shined it all up. The first picture is the before and the second picture is the after. I don't know if you can tell the difference but it looks really good in person. :)

Now I just need to get it tuned which my parents are paying for because that was a birthday present to me. I can't wait for it to be tuned. It sounds funny right now. haha.

I started my internship at a Walgreens and I was a little overwhelmed at first because I was slow. I am getting the hang of it and am half way through. I can't wait to actually make money doing it!
