5 to 6 months

This little 6 month old is growing, growing, growing. She had her checkup today and she surprised me by jumping to the 80th percentile in height. When did she get so tall?!? 27 inches tall, 16 pounds (52%). She was a champ after getting her shots. She only cried for a few seconds and then she was okay after that. Let's hope the next few days are okay.

She learned two things this month. How to sit on her own and how to roll over to her belly. The sitting needs assistance still. I forget that she knows how to sit so I don't really allow her to practice. I need to be better at remembering so she can just sit and I won't have to worry.
The rolling over has been interesting. The carpet is getting a lot more spit up on it. Too much pressure on the belly causes stuff to come up! Oh well. She has become such a pro at it, that it only takes one second and she is over. She loves rolling over but HATES being on the belly for a long while. She complains after a min of being on her belly. Toys don't really help with her liking of it either. She will still cry so I am constantly flipping her back over. Some times I will just let her cry for a bit so that maybe, just maybe, she will figure out how to roll over the other way. Maybe this month. Here's to hoping.

She is growing a lot more hair now. She is my cute little fuzz ball. It's especially fuzzy after baths.

"I'm a big girl now." I started her on a few purees the past few weeks. Started with peas and ended in a hurry. She didn't like that as her first food. haha. I don't blame her. I am not a fan of peas. Then we went to apple sauce, then carrots, and now squash. We will get back to those peas though. I am sure she is looking forward to that one.

Happy for one second and grumpy the next while being on her belly.

Grandma Crittenden got this onsie for her. I loved it.

How cute is this? Cuddle time with Daddy.

I decided to make a really healthy meal with my favorite baby in the background. It's basically Zucchini and Feta cheese.

She can kind of  hold her bottle.

Funny story about the celery. She has a tooth now. That was a surprising discovery. One day I was playing with her and she grabbed my finger and sucked on it and I felt a sharp something. I was shocked to find a tooth. Any way, I let her chew on a celery stick because she was interested that I was eating it and I wanted to see her reaction. Her first initial reaction was gross, but then she couldn't keep it out of her mouth. She gnawed on it for about 10 min and when I was looking away for a second, the celery manages to get on her forehead! She was fussing like mad. She was so upset she couldn't find her celery. I have no clue how the celery made it up to her forehead and how the celery was staying on her forehead. I got a video of it but I can't load it on here for some reason. It was just funny how upset she got and then how happy she was when she got that celery back.

Cute Sunday outfit.

One day I was getting something out of the freezer and was not paying close enough attention and my glass bowl of frozen grapes crashed to the ground. It shook me pretty hard. I cried quite a bit because I was surprised it happened. I liked the bowl but didn't cry because I now don't have it. It's just one of those time emotions come flooding out of you for some reason. RIP bowl...

We had a date night with Zaylee. We went to Firehouse subs and then went to look at this beautiful temple that is almost complete. It is easily one of my now favorite temples. It's so different and so so so pretty. I can't wait for the open house so I can see the inside of it.

Eating carrots and making a mess of it. We have to figure out how to not make a mess still. :) Until then, I will just take cute pictures of the cute messy face.

Party night with the in-laws. My niece had a birthday party. It was a fun night full of lots of cake and ice cream, presents, and swimming.

Zaylee is modeling the 'in' fashion of a 6 month old: cuteness with a little bit of drool. :)

Cousin LOVE. Lucy loved playing with Zaylee.

Zaylee got lost in the midst of all the socks! She loved playing with them. Dad didn't really like that his socks were getting drool on them but they dried. Now he has a piece of Zaylee when he goes to work. haha.

Happy 6 months cupcakes. They kind of turned out Halloween-ish. They are mounds cupcakes and they are just Delicious.

I will leave you off with my favorite picture of the month. My oh my she has such pretty pretty eyes.

4 to 5 months!

My cute little 5 month old! I don't think she will ever NOT be cute. Well, I guess we shall see when she hits the "terrible two's." She will still be cute though I bet.

Was she really the size of that elephant when she was born? Crazy to think that was only 5 months ago. Now there is more of her to hold. :)

She was in the habit a little bit ago of reaching behind her head and playing with her non existent hair. It was like she was trying to twirl her hair but ended up scratching her head a lot.

Mom came down for a class. It was fun to see her again. My mom has a sleeping spell or something because when she comes down and holds Zaylee, Zaylee will sleep more than she ever does. It's kind of funny.

Chubby baby with daddy!

She loves to sleep on daddy.

She just loves to sleep. haha. She loves to play too but for some reason I have lots of sleeping pictures of her. She is just too cute sleeping.

Baby break! Food. Who doesn't love watermelon during the summer? I love it. This bowl was a nice refreshing bowl. Yum!

I am one of those people that take pictures of things I see in walls, the ground, in food... I saw a face in this watermelon. I think it was mad. ha ha.

Does this look yummy or what? It was pretty good. There was a good sale on blueberries at work so I got some. Blueberries are not my favorite fruit but I decided to give them a try again. After about a week I made  the decision that I just don't like them still. Some times they are better than others, like some blueberry muffins I got from my neighbor.

Tummy time with a contrast book. She likes looking at the pictures.

Time for some camping fun. I was pretty nervous camping for the first time with Zaylee. I was thinking that maybe my mother in law and I should just go back home during the night since the camp was decently close. We stayed though. I was just nervous about the night trying to keep her warm enough because I usually got cold. But I guess I didn't have to worry as much as I was. I was so prepared though. A hat, hand warmers, long sleeves and pants, socks, jackets, blankets. There was not need for her to be cold. haha. It turned out well. She kept to her regular schedule which I was surprised about. I didn't get much sleep because I was worrying too much and the ground was not all that comfy!

cousin love.

:)

Zaylee and i visited Idaho. My Grandpa grew up in Idaho and we stopped to see his house and his memories and see where his parents were buried. We also went to the hot springs he went to as a child. It was fun to swim. The water was like bath water so i got to swim with Zaylee. It was a fun trip and Zaylee was good throughout the whole car trip.

My Gma got her some toys and she loved them. She loves her keys the most. At one point she had both toys in her hand and was trying to get both of them in her mouth!

Date night. I love having days off. We watched a movie called Cobbler. It was pretty good. I don't have a great attention span when watching movies though.

Zaylee wanted to take selfies. I just love her blue eyes.

This face is so precious. She was watching me put my makeup on. I was dying over this face.

Super cuddly in moms arms.

She likes to grab cloth and brings it to her face mostly to suck and chew on it but she always just leaves it there for me to take away. Such a silly girl.
